Piano, Organ, and Keyboard/Chappell baby grand

We have a Chappell baby grand. Beautiful piano with good sound. Was at one location since possibly the 1920's and recently acquired and moved next door to original location.
Was tuned just after move about 10 months ago. Needs tuning presently.
My question is how to get an expert evaluation of the piano condition at its present location in Bethesda MD.
We think only servicing over the years was tuning but could be wrong.
Thanks for any help or advice.

Hi Jim:

Great Question!!!

Ok...you go to http:www.ptg.org

When you get there, up in the right hand corner of the site you will see a place on which to click to "locate a technician".

You can put in your zip code and a list of REGISTERED technicians will pop up.

Interview several. You want someone who has been a REGISTERED technician for at least 10 years. Not ten years in the business, but registered for ten years!!!!

Have them come out for an inspection and write you up an evaluation on letterhead.

If you have trouble with this, get back to me. I'm here for you!
