Question
Found this piano at goodwill, it's in pretty bad shape, however no matter how hard I look I can't find any information on the company nor the piano itself, do you know anything about the history of the company and maybe the piano? It would help a lot! Serial number is 209741
Thank you !

Answer
Hello Shannon,  I am unfamiliar with the Spector piano as well.  With nearly 14,000 piano names having come and gone over the years, this is not unusual.  It was common for large piano retailers to contract with builders to produce pianos for them.  The retailers would then place their own company name and logo to the fallboard, making the pianos very difficult to track because the retailers would not consistently stay with the same builder.  Story and Clark is an example of this practice.  The other possibility is the piano was built outside the US such as in Canada.  I believe the following websites might be of help to you.
