Piano, Organ, and Keyboard/NO Sound

Question
Hi.  My Lowrey Prestige was sounding great yesterday.  While I was changing from one style to another (I think an ending was in process), the organ quit playing any sound at all.  I let it rest and did a restart.  Nothing happened.  Neither keyboard will produce a sound.  I unplugged it overnight and tried again.  There is no sound.  (One time I thought that was the case but I just had the earphone plugged in.)  That's not my problem now.  Can you help me?  Thanks.

Answer
Hello Helen!  You did not mention whether there are lights illuminated on the console.  If not, the first thing to check is the power at the outlet.  If power is present, then the next issue will be the organ's fuses.  If the fuses are good, I suggest you check whether you can hear the organ through a set of headphones.  If not, then there is a chance the power supply is at fault.

If you find a blown fuse, make certain the replacement fuse not only has the same current rating but the same voltage rating.  If a new fuse blows after you turn the organ on, then the power supply must be evaluated.  The most common components to fail will be the power transformer, the rectifier and the electrolytic filter capacitors.
