Question
I have an R S Howard Upright piano that has a serial number of 24067.  It also has a "Guarantee" printed on it that says it will be repaired at their factory in New York.  Obviously I can't send a piano to New York.  I don't know that they are still being made.  It has 5 missing pieces of ivory on the keys.  Would you know where I could replace those?   And what year is the piano?

Hello Karen,  I think the best way to handle the issues with your piano is to contact a local piano technician (or tuner if there are no technicians around) who will be able to recommend the best course of action.  They will be able to take into consideration the instrument's location, condition and value.
