Question I have no idea where to find the model number of my Kawai upright, but the serial # is 1661183. I'm relocating and can't take it with me. How much should I ask? It is in great condition.
Answer Hello Jason! Thank you for the question. Your piano was probably built in 1986. The range is '86 to '88. A model number would help. Providing an appraisal is best done in person by a qualified piano appraiser. There are many factors to consider, such as height, sound, condition of the action, strings, structure, soundboard, etc. The following websites should be quite helpful: http://www.bluebookofpianos.com/grades.html http://www.pianoexchange.com/howold.htm
