Ice is off on the value.  That would be for one used as a desk.

Kranich & Back 1875 victorian ornate is in the Smithsonian.

I bought mine in Conn. in the 80s.

The type of wood also determines the value.

Theresa - look on  there are plenty of the square grands going for $30,000 fully just is a matter of your appreciation for the genuine time era sound, or if you prefer the more modern electronically enhanced sounds of the pianos today!

Cat, I bought mine in Ct in the 80s, too.  I have had it restored.  Turned down a lot of money for it.  Over $20,000 back in the late 80s.  It is important the right finish is used on it if you restore it. Me sure to use a knowledgeable piano restorers.  I saw the twin to mine in the S,ithsonian.
