Pink Floyd - Pink Floyd singers

Expert: Ed McKenna - 6/3/2009

Question
I caught the tail end of a DJ's commentary in which he said there is only one song that was sung by a male non-member of Pink Floyd.  Do you know what that song is and who it is.  Led Zepelin supposedly mentioned this guy in one of their songs too.

Answer
Dan,

Sorry for the late response. You're referring to Roy Harper. The song is "Have a Cigar" off of Wish You Were Here. Led Zeppelin did in fact write a song called "Hats off to Roy Harper".

For an in depth look into "Have a Cigar", Roy Harper and his relationship with both Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin please review the following links.

Dan, if you have any more questions please feel free to ask. Don't forget to rate my response to you.
