Hi Ed:

I've been searching the web and I couldn't find the meaning of the band name Pink Floyd.

I know what does Pink means, but can't figure out what does Floyd means.

Since y cant figure that out, i can't get to figure out the meaning of the name...

So... Could you tell me the meaning of the word Floyd and then, the meaning of the name?

Pink Floyds name comes from two blues players , Pink Anderson and Floyd "Dipper Boy" Council. Originally Syd Barrett had dubbed the band "The Screaming Abdabs" later changing to to Pink Floyd.
