Question QUESTION: i just got a pit puppy that is 43 days old. im feeding him alpo prime slices can food. how much should i feed him and how many times should i feed him. and should i mix in dry food with the can food. i need help any help will be helpful.

I can suggest a much better food for your new baby.
Also, you can buy dry food and soak it .. ( a teaspoon of wet food "on top" is fine)
Too much wet food is not good.

at all. It is a fair to poor rated food... ( In my book)

How about some Chicken Soup for the Puppy's Soul?
This is a great food... A rated. ( average priced) ... You should be able to find this at the local pet store. If you can't find it then let me know.. I have others that I feel are very good, too.
Your pup can eat this until he is about 9-10 months old... After that, you need to go to Adult food. ( we can talk about that, down the road)
You will want to wet this dry food with a small amount of water. You can place 3 to 4 tablespoons of warm water on top... Mix it and wait about 3-4 minutes. This will moisten the dry food up for your pup. It is fine to give some wet food on top of the dry. You can go with 2 teaspoons of wet food, if you would like.
A good wet food ( canned food) is Solid Gold ( any flavor)
Other good brands are: Eagle Pack , Innova, Wellness Formula....
All the canned foods, that I mentioned, are found at any pet store.
Next, a good supplement is a Plus for any new pup. Many breeders will send you home with a Sample of NuVET Plus wafers.

QUESTION: how often should i take a puppy outside to use the bathroom . and are there any suggestions to what i can put a puppy in at night so they want get into mischief while i sleep at night
Answer Hi Again: I have a new pup here at my home. I take her out every 2 hours ( when I am able).
When I am in bed or not home she is in the bathroom with a baby gate.
Also, she has newspaper down when behind the baby gate.
You can put wee wee pads down or newspaper for night time use. Your pup may or may not use the pads..
The key is to take them out as often as you can, when awake.( or at home)
