Planning with Primavera/Time Extension Claim in P6.

i want to know that how can i prepare time extension claim in P6. reason of delay is unavailability of Area form main contractor.
Project Start date is 1st Sept 2012 and Completion date was 30th Nov 2012 but the project is still 68.91% complete.
when i add BL Start and Finish, Actual Start and Finish, Float and BL duration Variation columns, it give me -145 days. there is some activities in program those are delayed by our company end. so how can i do this in P6, Mean if i submit copy of Program to Client to get approval for Time Extension Claim, they will defiantly point out these activities. So how can i do this, how much days i can claim?

Dear  Rahman,

Sorry for late reply.

Thanks for your query. Please follow these steps:

1- Baseline schedule with no progress is date should the start date of the project.

2- Add the delay. It means shift the start date or suspended resume of the activity which has been delayed by client. press the schedule with the data date same of project start date(optional, may be not required some times).

3- Now based on your delay the schedule will show the expected end date of the project. This shows that if we keep everything the same then delay coming form the client has affected this many no of days in the project.

If things are not clear then please come back.

Best Regards,

Questions related to technical tools of primavera, resource loading, cost loading, preparing and monitoring the baselines, contractual correspondence linked to primavera, how to use custom ideas in the programs. Most important is the link between the activities as per given specs and preparation of claim as per Contract FIDIC linked with plan on primavera Plus question related to contracts, regarding claims specially associated with time extension, taxation, deductions on Payment certificates can be entertained. Also questions related to Primaver 6 are entertained.
