Question
Ok im not going to candy coat this so please do not get offended . I grow medical marajuana for myself and my stepson whom has a musclediease so we make butter and cook with it for his joints and tendons etc. for him there is no smoking. Now I would like to know what causes mold to form on the top of the soil and sometimes in the middle of the soil. however all of our plants and herb garden basil cilantra etc. seem to be doing ok. but i still dont feel safe haveing any mold around at all what would you recomend to get rid of it. I also live at 4200 ft above sea level. and it will snow soon. thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Kirk,

Mold is a by product of excessive moisture due to lack of sunlight, air, over watering etc... in order for mold to form you have to have standing water or constant moisture.  Atomic Grow is D.E.P. accepted to rid soils of mold, fungus, oils and any other foreign contaminant.  By applying Atomic Grow at 3/4 ounce directly to the contaminated areas the mold will be emulsified and dis-assembled and will not return until the bacterium begins to form agian and spores develop.  The soil needs to be aereated and tilled so air can penetrate along with ground applications of Atomic Grow.  I would think that two applications should do the trick with tillage.  kathy
