Hi Doctor,
Please find attached a picture of what I've found in my lawn. I first thought it might be some animal's faeces but I wonder if it could be some sort of lawn disease. This is the only one in the whole lawn which is why I thought it might be faeces. Anyway, I'm just worried that whatever it is might spread.
So I guess I'd like to know what it is and whether i need to remove it and how.

This looks like a type of slime mold
These are related to amoeba and produce spores
There are only a nuisance and are not considered a disease issue. No control measures are necessary. Sweep them off the grass plants when the grass is dry. They can be unsightly, but that is really all.
