Expert: Sam P. Most, M.D., F.A.C.S. Date: 6/29/2008 Subject: Rhinoplasy Changes- When is it to late
Question want my plastic surgeon to make my profile slightly sloped, something which I didnt address in my consultation (my fault, I know) How many days before surgery is it too late to tell a surgeon this without the surgery being rescheduled or is this something which I could tell him the day of surgery and not be a big deal? That is the only change I want to make from our original consult.
Thank you
Answer I cannot tell you how your surgeon should practice; he/she may have his/her own rules.
However, I can tell you that I am open to discuss such changes (within reason) up to the day of surgery. Of course, it is preferable to have a solid plan at your last consultation prior to the surgery. I would recommend you call your surgeon as soon as possible to discuss this issue.
