Question This probably sounds out of place...I had a tummy tuck done over a year and half...I was not happy when I found out the the surgeon implanted a so called mesh. I experience a lot of pain months after...it is better now...but I have been loosing my hear (thining and breakage)I lost at least 4 inches in my head...what wss long hair, all one length looks now like a "bob" just below my ears. This loss of hair began last May and this past Christmas I notices aggressive loss in my pubic hair...I have seeing my PC, dermatologist and an endocrinologist. All test came back normal...I hear that perhaps it could be from my tommy tuck and / or mesh....Any truth on this? I am very upset and both my PC and I do not know what is causing it (ruled out stress) and do not know what else to do. No family history of hair loss either.
I would appreciate any answers.
Most grateful,
Gloria
Answer Hi Gloria,
I am unaware of any connection between the mesh used in such a procedure, and hair loss. I suppose anything is possible, but this relationship is not something I've heard of.
It sounds like you're already under the care of enough doctors, and they will hopefully figure it out, but, in the meantime, I'm not sure what else to say. Again, though, it's not something I'm heard of.
