Question Hi I'm 23 and in the military. I am considering breast implants for a personal reason as I am very self conscious about myself being so small, I am 34a.
I read a previous answer to a person's question on this site about implants and kickboxing, and that with 'strong movements' the impants my be displaced.
My concern is that if I proceeded with these impants, will my activities at work hinder them and cause them to be mishapen, damamged, or rupture, as In my career we do need to wear body armour (flat jackets). We also do alot of running and carrying of heavy equipment on courses and deployment. I'm thinking of going for a C-cup size, which i don't think is too much, and I wouldn't do it if it was all going to go wrong on me. I would appreciate any information you could give to me on this as I am strongly considering this surgery.

Hi Maria,
It's not the flak jacket, the weight (necessarily) or the armor; it's really a question of significant weight lifting (which can displace the implants) or the risk of direct trauma to the chest.
So that's what you have to figure out: 1) are you willing to cut back on the heavy weights (frequent reps with light weights are less of a concern) and 2) what's the likelihood that you're take direct trauma to the chest?
I have operated on several military personnel and all are doing well. The implants are fairly well protected under the muscles, but you do have to remain aware that you have them, and be a little careful. If you're not willing to take that into consideration, then it may not be such a good idea.
That being said, everyone of the military personnel I've operated on is thrilled, so there you have it...
