Question
hi, i know the play Mousetrap is the longest running British play, but could you tell me the  2nd & 3rd longest running plays, and how long they have been running
regards carol

Answer
Hi, Carol,

No. 2 in the list after The Mousetrap is "The Woman in Black", which is on at the Fortune Theatre in London and has been running for 20 years. No 3 is more difficult but I'm pretty sure it was "No Sex Please, We're British" which ran in the 1970s for nearly 9 years. It transferred to Broadway and last only a few weeks!

Musicals are different: "Les Misérables"" has been on for 23 years, Phantom of the Opera" for 22 years and "Blood Brothers" for 20 years.

I hope all that is some help to you.

Roger
