Question
Hello. My school is putting on the musical 'Grease' this year & I was cast as one of the Pink Ladies.I was wondering if you could provide me with some background information about the Pink Ladies such as if they act, sing, dance, solo parts, etc.

Thank you very much.

Answer
Hi Tina,

"Grease" is very much an ensemble show (far more so than the movie musical of the show was).  All of the Pink Ladies act, sing and dance.  All have at least some dialogue.  In most productions most have solo lines of songs, some even, I think, have solo songs of their own, or at least solo sections of songs.  They are there throughout the show and act as a chorus for Rizzo and Sandy as well as their own individual characters.

Have a great time with the production!  It's a fun show to do :-)

Best,
Arlene (MsDirector)
