Question
I need to cap off a 2" copper line. I tried soldering a cap on but get a leak. Could this be caused by slight amought of water in pipe during solder? Is there an easier way to cap this line?

Answer
Hi David,
Yes if there is water in pipe it will be hard to solder
because as you heat the pipe the steam created by the heating of the water in pipe blows the solder out of the joint, you can try soldering a male adapter on the pipe
and then screw a cap on it. I hope this helps!
