Plumbing in the Home/Leaky Kitchen Faucet

Question
When I turn off the hot water the handle will not stop and the water keeps running.  I have to pull the handle back into position to stop the water.  Is there some way to fix this without replacing the whole faucet?  There are two handles and a spigot.  It is Moen.

Answer
Hi Cindy,
Sounds like you need a new cartridge for the faucet. You do not need to replace the whole faucet.  I would replace both sides at the same time to be sure of long service. You will need the model number to find the right ones.
Contact Moen directly for help identifying the faucet. Call: 1-800-BUY-MOEN   (1-800-289-6636)

Expertise

Pretty much any residential plumbing questions. For "item specific" details such as a specific model of fixture, I will need to research and there may not be any useful information available. Note: I live and work in Southern California. We do not, as a rule, use hot water or steam heating systems, oil fired boilers or private water wells so my knowledge in those areas is pretty limited. There are others here on AllExerts that can probably answer those questions better.
