Plumbing in the Home/sewer vent problem?

Question
Our one toilet is draining slow and it used to flush great- when we remodeled our laundry room we put a 1/2 bath in and tied into sewer line to septic and used a Studor vent. Our other toilet, sink and tub work great, however when we drain tub the problem toilet bubbles- I know I have a vent problem because when I take the Studor vent off the toilet works great- The other drain connected to the Studor vent is the washing machine- BTW I checked the other vent line and it was clear- any help would be greatly appreciated!

Answer
Hi John,
Sort of sounds like the Studor vent is messing up to me. They do tend to have problems now and again. I'm not real familiar with them since they are not allowed in my area. I think they are serviceable. Per the Studor site, they have a lifetime guarantee.  Contact them here

Expertise

Pretty much any residential plumbing questions. For "item specific" details such as a specific model of fixture, I will need to research and there may not be any useful information available. Note: I live and work in Southern California. We do not, as a rule, use hot water or steam heating systems, oil fired boilers or private water wells so my knowledge in those areas is pretty limited. There are others here on AllExerts that can probably answer those questions better.
