AboutDana Bostick Expertise Pretty much any residential plumbing questions. Note: I live and work in Southern California. We do not as a rule use boilers, hot water or steam heating systems or wells so my knowledge in those areas is limited. There are others here that can probably answer those questions better.
"We all is city folk" out here! What is a "well" LOL

Question can you vent bathroom steam from shower into the attic without problems or will the hot stean from shower cause problems
Answer Hi Dennis,
In a word, NO!
Moisture is a big problem in confined spaces. It creates condensation and leads to wood rot and mold. A bathroom space, with a tub or shower MUST be vented by either an exhaust fan or an operable window to the exterior. This is a serious fault I call anytime that I see it during one of my inspections.
Best,
Dana
