Question How can I clean the supply line leading from the hot water heater to the washing machine or does it need to be cut out and replaced? Total distance is 12-14 feet from water heater to washing machine. The warm water has always been more cool than warm but I assumed it was a setting issue with the machine. Lately, the hot water has taken forever to fill the washer...like 30-40 minutes to fill for a small load. We're pretty sure it's something in the actual supply pipe from the water heater as the screen and the flexible tubing from the faucet to the machine are fine but only a trickle comes out of the faucet itself. Would snaking it from the roof help or is this only for drainage problems? Why isn't the hot water to the other parts of the house being affected?
Answer Becky,
The best answer for you is to replace the line.
Find several reputable, licensed plumbers and get several bids for the
work.
