Question QUESTION: When someone is in the shower or if the washing machine is on, i cannot get a drop of water out of the tap. Is there something wrong or is this normal for a sandpoint well?
ANSWER: Danna,
Sorry I didn't answer this question for you.
I was waaaay too busy.
Hope you got the answer you needed.
This means your water lines are undersized or the pump is not
maintaining adequate water pressure.
QUESTION:
Anthony...Thank you for the answer, I am sure you are correct...I was also wondering if the sandpoint was maybe plugged a bit, would that also cause this problem. Your answer will depend on the sandpoint coming up or me getting a massage...Thanks again....Danna
Answer Yes Danna, it is possible the well pump may be plugged.
The only way to test this is to open up the line ahead of the
pump and pressure tank to check for adequate flow.
If you ARE getting flow, perhaps it is the pump which is clogged and
then you would want to open the line AFTER the pump & pressure tank and
before the house.
If this is still good, then the problem is in the house somewhere.
At that point, I would suggest finding a reputable and licensed plumber
who can locate this blockage, including the possibility of having
undersized water lines.
