Question I am remodeling my bathroom, are you familiar with the Mansfield brand of toilets. Can you recommend a good toilet model less than $300.00.
Answer Hello Robert,
Mansfield fixtures are fine. I have not worked actively in the plumbing field for many years so I'm not familiar with pricing on any of the new fixtures.
Most toilets these days typically must comply with the 1.6 gallon per flush water conservation rules. There is no getting around that.
A quick scan of the Home Depot website tells me that they have toilets from less than $100 to well over $500. (I've actually seen $2000 toilets, WOW!) The choices more one of aesthetics. Do you want a two-piece or a one-piece, round or elongated bowl, standard height or 17 inch ADA compliant? Also remember that most toilets do not include a seat in the pricing and those can vary from $5-$50.
Good luck with your remodel
Pretty much any residential plumbing questions. For "item specific" details such as a specific model of fixture, I will need to research and there may not be any useful information available.
Note: I live and work in Southern California. We do not, as a rule, use hot water or steam heating systems, oil fired boilers or private water wells so my knowledge in those areas is pretty limited. There are others here on AllExerts that can probably answer those questions better.
