Plumbing in the Home/shower drain


I am remodeling my shower and icannot get old drain out of cast drain line the only way I know to fix is to chip up floor around cast and break it off and install a no hub fitting to change over to pvc please tell me an easier way of getting floor ready for new dry pack pan

Hi Aron,
You are on the right track.  If the old drain is not acceptable, it will need to be broken out and replaced. This should not be an issue if you are putting in a new dry pack pan?  Is this a slab or raised foundation?  If slab, I would recommend replacing the trap as well.
