Plumbing in the Home/Warm but not hot water

Question
This has me stumped. I recently shut off the water to replace a shower valve. I turned the water back on and get no hot water anywhere in the house. All the valves are on, the water heater fires up and is on, but the water coming out is just warm. The water heater, a Rheem, is about 4 years old and has always performed well. Any ideas?

Answer
Jerry, is the valve you replaced a shower only faucet or a tub and shower?
Is it possible it was installed wrong? Is the water in the tank hot? I need more info in order to diagnose. My first thought is a cross connection somewhere and if it just started when the faucet was changed I start there. check to be sure hot and cold are correct.
