Plumbing in the Home - Caulking Mold

Expert: speedball1 - 7/27/2004

Question
Speedball,
This may not be a direct hit for you, but I'll give it a shot. The silicone caulking in our shower stall has gotten black with mold in many areas. Is there anything that will clean it? If not, please recommend caulking removal and replacement procedure and material.
Thanks!!!
Al

Answer
Hey Al,  I can do both.  First , here is a link that will let you make your own. http://pages.tipking.com/make/tile_and_grout_cleaner.shtml
I use Fantastic on my tile surfaces.  if this cleaner doesn't do the job click on back and we'll go into grout removal.  Hope this helps and thank you for rating my reply.  Tom
