Plumbing in the Home - washing machine drain

Follow-Ups to Answer from Expert dispatcher bob

I had the same problem with a new washing machine overflowing the drain pipe. The drain hose was installed without a gooseneck on it. I purchased and installed a new drain hose with a gooseneck at the drain connection. Evidently, the gooseneck slows down the water. PROBLEM SOLVED.
