Question I have a home built in '78. We just had our water line replaced from the city line to the front of the house after discovering a leak in the plastic piping. A plumber did the work, replacing the original pipe with copper.
Now, whenever we have more than one water outlet on (inside the home or out), we have a severe decrease in water pressure at each of the outlets. We've checked the spouts where possible to look for debris but have found none.
Any thoughts? Our plumber is coming back tomorrow and has stated that he will be charging by the hour to find the problem even though we have a 1 year warranty on the work. Yikes!
Thanks for your help!
Answer The plumber has some nerve charging after installing a new main especially if you did not have this problem prior to his/her work.
Did the plumber install a pressure reducing valve?
Did this plumber flush out the line prior to connecting it to the building system?
I honestly think out of good conscience he /she should give an hour to try to locate this problem
