Plymouth (Including Neons) - door window (crank type) malfunction

Expert: Debbie Miller - 1/12/2001

Question
The window in the door of my 88 Plymouth Sundance is extremely difficult or impossible to crank.  Do you have any suggestions on how to improve operation?

Answer
The first thing I think of is trying to take the door cover off and spraying the gears with WD40 or a similar lubricant.  I am unsure about the exact mechanism of your window, but you could have some teeth missing on the belt that lowers and raises your window.

Good luck.
