Question
I bought the van used.  Took it to a mechanic to have a tune up, oil change, transmission fluids and filters changed. All gaskets changed.  The check engine light came on after these services were done.  The mechanic says it an EGR code.  Just had the gasket for the EGR senosr done.  Light is on still. Passenger window works only sometimes?  Dash board goes dead sometimes, all of it.  What should I do?

Answer
Hey,

Its probably the pressure transducer for the EGR. They get water in them and rot out.  The dash quiting could be something as simple as a fuse not seating or the BCM failing.  If nothing eles but the cluster winks out try and tap on teh top.  Solder joints at the IPC get flaky and can be repaired by an electronics technician.
