Question
The resistance test did come back greater than 1000 Ohms. So I put everything back together and now the lights ore off. No Air Bag light or Check engine light. Did a test drive of several miles in different conditions and all seems well with that, However, now the brake light is on constantly. Fluid checked out fine. Any thoughts on that?

Answer
The possible causes of that are:
parking brake lever not fully released
switch on the parking brake lever faulty
fluid low in reservoir
fluid level switch in reservoir faulty
cluster problem with warning light
ABS electronic brake distribution system faulty
So check those out. I am pleased to learn that the other problems appear to be resolved, but it is not clear to me what you changed if anything to accomplish that!

Expertise

Free and fast repair advice for Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth cars, minivans, and SUV's based upon factory shop manuals/wiring diagrams for the model years 1982-2009 and 50 years of 'do it yourself' experience.

I take questions one at a time between 8 AM and 10 PM Central Time and attempt to answer within 20 minutes.

"Maxed Out" means I am answering another question or otherwise busy, so try again later.

I offer repair advice to help you minimize repair costs by helping you diagnose and do it yourself. Problems with electronically controlled engines and transmissions as well as body wiring problems are my specialty. As regards Dodge trucks I only have manuals for the '04-'07 model years and Jeeps for '06-'07, so am limited as to specifics about vehicles outside that time frame.

There are answers on file to more than seventeen thousand Chrysler questions at your finger tips: put a few key words in the "find" box (above) or click on "view past answers" for a chronological list of my q and a's. If you find a past answer that is helpful but not fully so, don't use "Add to this answer" option unless you want to just add your point of view; if you still have a question...ask it. I don't quickly see these 'add to's' because I don't get an 'alert' that they have been 'added'.
