Question I was running and I came down on my left foot hard with my foot slightly turned inward and heard a loud popping. I continued to run on it and when I got home I realized that it was swollen on the top where that little bone is. It has now been four days and is still swollen and I can walk on it but it is painful. A scale of 1-10 in pain would be a 5. I can move it up and down now but side to side still hurts. The swelling is almost like three silver dollar pockets on top of the foot. No bruises. I hope that is enoughs detail. Thank you for your time! Felicia
Answer Hi Felicia,
You have either have a tendon or soft tissue tear on the top of your foot or could have a fracture or joint dislocation.
I would see a podiatrist for an x-ray and treatment.
Sincerely,
