Podiatry/foot laceration

Question
i have lacerated my foot about 5 weeks ago.  a glass bottle went through the bottom and cut into nerves, tendons, ligament, and muscles.  i has 16 stitches and the debris removed.  i lost feeling in my first two toes and upper part of the bottom of my foot.  i did not have surgery for 30 days after the accident and by then my tendon had so much time to retract and therefor my surgeon had to cut up around my ankle and up my leg to find the tendon and re-attach it.  since surgery i have been extremely dizzy, light-headed, sometimes short of breath and am now experiencing a hot, tingly, numb feeling in the upper top part of my leg.  This is on top of the crazy feeling i have in my foot and lower leg around my ankle.  Can you please help me understand why i am experiencing these side effects or if it is normal?

Answer
Hi Amie,

This could be a serious problem.  Some of your symptoms sound like a blood clot in the leg.  This can be serious so see your dr or go to the er immediately.  Of course making this diagnosis is difficult on the internet but better safe than sorry.
