About LG
Expertise
Hello, Dear Reader. My name is LG. I'm able to answer most of your questions about ALL POKEMON GAMES. Since I became an Expert in this category (+- 5 years ago), I became fascinated by the internal structure of Pokémon and I started to check all game info and all game research data. As a Pokémon Trainer, I know a lot about all game walkthroughs, stats, attacks, strategies, breeding, evolution and much more. If I don't know the answer, I'll look it up for you or I'll redirect you to one of my Fellow Experts. I hope to read you soon! :)

Experience
About ten years ago I started playing Pocket Monsters with my first game, Pokémon Red. I became addicted to the game and bought its equivalent, Pokémon Blue and later on the special version, Pokémon Yellow. After that, I bought all the games of Pokémon that were released for the Game Boy platform by pre - ordering them in my local shop. I'm still checking the data of the Pokémon Research today, even data from the old First Generation.

Question
hey, i have leaf green and emerald versions and i would want to trade. i dont know how. i know you have to get the two gems but where? please explain in full detail step by step on what to do. i really want to get an eevee in emerald too but i cant! please help me or add me on msn. thx a lot, ttyl?

Answer
Hi Martin,

I was a little confused when giving you my answer a couple of days ago. In Pokémon Emerald you get the National Dex after having beaten the Elite Four. So you don't need to have caught the first 200 Pokémon of the Hoenn Dex. You still get it from Prof. Birch. If you collect the first 200 Pokémon of the Hoenn, you also need to visit Prof. Birch, but then he will give you one of the three Johto Starters.

My apologies for the inconvenience this may have costed.

Good luck and have fun! :)

Hi Martin,

I can't add you to MSN, because the e- mail you entered, is not visible to me. It is only used by the AllExperts - site to send you my answer. After that, it becomes erased.

First of all, you can trade between Pokémon LeafGreen and Pokémon Emerald by using a Game Link Cable or by using a Wireless Adapter.

Now, in order to enable trading between both games, certain points inside the game needs to be reached. These are :

- in Pokémon LeafGreen :

1) You need to have defeated the Elite Four at least one time.
2) You need to upgrade your PokéDex to a National Dex. You can do this by talking to Prof. Oak after having defeated the Elite Four at least one time and by having at least 60 Pokémon registered in your PokéDex.
3) You need to have returned the Ruby and Sapphire Gem to Celio, the guy with the big machine on Island 1 of the Sevii Islands. You can find the Ruby Gem in a cave north on Island 1. The Sapphire Gem can be found in Team Rocket's Warehouse on Island 5. More detailed info can be found here (I advise you to read the Sevii Island Quest completely, because it is a long quest with many details) :

- in Pokémon Emerald :

1) You need to have defeated the Elite Four at least one time.
2) You need to upgrade your PokéDex to a National Dex. You can do this by talking to Prof. Birch after having defeated the Elite Four at least one time and by having the first 200 Pokémon registered in your Hoenn PokéDex.

After having done all that, you need to talk to the receptionist most right on the first floor of one of the PokéCenters. You need to do this in both Pokémon LeafGreen and Pokémon Emerald while being connected with the Game Link Cable or while being wireless connected with the Wireless Adapters.

Now talk to the receptionist in both games. Follow the instructions on the screen. If you're doing the trade with the Wireless Adapters, you need to determine who's the leader and who is just joining the group. After follwing the instructions, you'll be able to trade.

That's all to it : if you still have problems, please don't hesitate to contact me again.

Good luck and have fun trading! :)
