About LG
Expertise Hello, Dear Reader. My name is LG. I'm able to answer most of your questions about ALL POKEMON GAMES. Since I became an Expert in this category (+- 5 years ago), I became fascinated by the internal structure of Pokémon and I started to check all game info and all game research data. As a Pokémon Trainer, I know a lot about all game walkthroughs, stats, attacks, strategies, breeding, evolution and much more. If I don't know the answer, I'll look it up for you or I'll redirect you to one of my Fellow Experts. I hope to read you soon! :)
Experience About ten years ago I started playing Pocket Monsters with my first game, Pokémon Red. I became addicted to the game and bought its equivalent, Pokémon Blue and later on the special version, Pokémon Yellow. After that, I bought all the games of Pokémon that were released for the Game Boy platform by pre - ordering them in my local shop. I'm still checking the data of the Pokémon Research today, even data from the old First Generation.
Education/Credentials Bachelor in Experimental and Theoretical Psychology.

Question Hi
I own Poke Gold, Silver and Blue all in which are very far in the game. I own 3 cables for GBA 1 real, and 2 none offical. I also own 1GBC, and 2GBA systems... but I am unable to trade with any for some reason... I keep getting a message saying things like save before trading for one and the other saying please wait. as many know it scews the time to trade and the end result is your friend is not ready. I even get this message when I attempt to battle.
I made sure if I trade with blue I have poke that are not in blue removed. and none hold items or have special attacks. what is up?
And is there a way to speed up the time in linking GBAs up instead of trying for hrs on end???
Thanks.
Answer Hi Sei,
Yes, off course there is a way. In normal circumstances a trade doesn't last longer than five minutes. Probably There goes something wrong when you're trading. It's my task to help you discover what goes wrong.
First of all, only use the official GBA cable. Also, because you're using a GBA cable, only use your two GBA's.
If you're trying to trade between Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, make sure you already have delivered the Mystery Egg to Prof. Elm. This happens in the beginning of the game. Because you're already very far in the game, this shouldn't be a problem.
To trade between Pokémon Gold / Silver and Pokémon Blue, the following conditions need to be fulfilled:
- In Pokémon Blue: you need to have delivered the Oak's Parcel to Prof. Oak. This happens in the beginning of the game.
- In Pokémon Gold / Silver: you need to have talked to Bill in Ecruteak City's PokéCenter. The day after the talk you'll be able to trade with Pokémon Blue.
When you're trying to trade (it doesn't matter which version to which version), make sure you have at least two Pokémon with you (excluding Eggs).
Also, make sure you're talking to the right lady on the first floor of every PokéCenter. When trying to trade between Gold and Silver, talk to the lady most left. When trying to trade between Gold / Silver and Blue, talk to the lady most right (who stands before the Time Capsule) in Pokémon Gold / Silver. In Pokémon Blue you need to talk to the lady most right on the ground floor of every PokéCenter.
Another problem is that your cable might be broken. Use your cable to connect between two other games (preferably two non - Pokémon games) and see if the communication works. If it does, your cable is not the problem. If it doesn't, your cable is broken. You can then use one of the unofficial cables. Don't forget to also test them with the previously mentioned procedure.
The problem can also be your GBA's. Replace one of the GBA's with your GBC and see if the trade occurs. If it does the trade, your problem is solved. If it doesn't, replace your GBC with the removed GBA. Now replace the other GBA with your GBC and repeat the test. Again, if the trade occurs, your problem is solved. Otherwise, the problem isn't located within your GBA's.
A final problem can be found in your timing. You complain that, when you save one game, the other already disconnects. This is solved quite easily: just adjust your timing. You can do this by ensuring that the moments you save before you trade, occur simultaneously in both games.
If you're still are experiencing problems, please don't hesitate to contact me again.
Good luck and have fun trading! :)
