Question I'm doing the paperwork to get the polish citizenship from the polish embassy in Argentina. They said it will delay 2 years, but I'm planning to study in Poland sooner than that. In the embassy they said I could call a polish office and make a claim to accelerate de procedure. Do you know what office are they talking about? Do you have any phone number that could be useful to speed up the procedure?
Answer Hello Dario,
thank you for your question.
The applications for confirmation of polish citizenship, as this would be the correct procedure you should apply for, may be filed directly in Poland to the proper office of Province Governor. If you have never had residency in Poland and you are claiming your polish citizenship through your parents, grandparents or great-grandparents, you would be eligible to file your case with the Province Governor in Warsaw. Here is a link to the Department in which you should file it: http://www.mazowsze.uw.gov.pl/wsc
