Question I am not an EU citizen but I will be moving to Poland to teach in a language school that has offered to process the paperwork for the stay and work permit. My question is this:
What happens if after I work for them I hate the place (I have heard good and bad things about them) and want to work for a different employer. Can I transfer my work permit from one company to another?
Answer Dear Joshua,
thank you for your question.
Work permit for non-EU citizen is given to your future employer only. In fact this is employer, not you who applies for the permit on your behalf. You may extend your work permit with the same employer, however your permit will expired and the employer would be obligated if you decide to withdraw from the contract with him. In the event that you would like to change your employer, your new employer would have to apply for a new permit for you.
