Poland - retirement to poland

Expert: Maria Mirek - 8/29/2008

Question
my wife a fine polish lady and I a us citizen she has a green card want to retire to poland what do we do to do this ??

Answer
Hello,

Thank you for your question. If your wife is a polish citizen, based on this, you may apply for residency in Poland with the Province Governor (depending on her place of residence in Poland). You should be eligible to obtain one year residency permit and renew it. After four years residency in Poland, you may apply for naturalization.

Best regards and good luck,

Maria Mirek
