Question Maria,
I am a non-eu citizen, actually from Turkey. I would like to move to Poland. and willing to be able to work there.
I have two questions.
1) If I get married with a polish-citizen, will I be able to have residence permit quickly or is there any wait period.
2)Lets suppose a person get married with a EU-Citizen, how would s/he convert from non-EU to EU?
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance Maria.
Answer Helllo,
thank you for your question.
If you get married in Poland (you would have to obtain travel visa to be apply to come), you may apply for temporary residency based on your marriage. It is given for up to 2 years and may be extended numerous times (for up to 2 years each time). The process usually takes about 3-4 weeks but this depends on the office.
You would be eligible to apply for polish citizenship after 3 years of marriage with the polish citizen and at least 2 years of residency in Poland.
