Question Hello
There is a Polish man at my workplace his name is Grzegorz Aniol.
Where does the name Aniol come from and what does it mean? How do you pronounce that name is it Ahn- Yohl or Ahn- Yool?
WE call him Gregor in Scotland. However I am sure that in Poland they say Gzheh- gorzh ?
Thank you very much
Powdrawiam
Martin ( Marcin in Poland)
My surname is Walker.. what would be the Polish version of that?!
Answer Hello,
Anioł means an angel, and you should pronounce that name as a Ahn-you. Surname Grzegorz should be pronounce as a Grzhehgorzh.
Martin is Marcin in Poland and your surname Walker in Poland is "Wędrowiec"
pozdrawiam ;-)
