Question
I have been trying to find information on my grandmother who was born in the late 1800's.  I'm not sure if she was born in Poland, but was told her last name was STRUASKA and that she was Polish.  Can you tell me if there are any Struaska's living in Poland and, if it is indeed a Polish name?
Thanks so much for your time.

Answer
Hello,
thank you for your e-mail and request. Your grandmother's name Struaska may be a Polish name. The ending - ska or -ski is typical for Polish name, but I couldn't find anyone in Poland with the same name. In my opinion your grandmother's name probably could be a different a bit, like "Struławska" or something similar. If you can't find any original documents it may be hard to set it finally, anyway it seams like your grandmother comes from Poland.
