Question
Hi,
My Grandfather's last name was Forencwicz, and my Grandmother's was Jablouski. How could I find where in Poland they came from? Their only living son(85 yrs.old) has none of their documents.

Answer
Hello,
if you know only these details it may be hard to find more information. Anyway I have a friend with Forencewicz name - he lives in Puńsk, near the Polish-Lithuanian border. I have checked it at Polish popular website which presents where each name is popular and it's true http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/forencewicz.html
The red colour is located near Sejny, Suwałki and Puńsk in north-eastern Poland.
There are also several Polish companies which can look for your family history in Poland, with some fees. You can find them on google probably.

best regards
