Question
My mother's family came from Golub in the 1800's.  The only thing I have is a surname which is Oszecki.  I am trying to find out if there is anyone with that name in what was once Prussia.  Do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Hello Linda,
thank you for e-mail. I have checked the Oszecki name in Golub area, but I can't find anyone with that name. Anyway, a real name could be "Osiecki" what is quite popular in Poland, also near to Golub region.

with best regards
