Question
You would say, "Julia and Jason are married. They are a couple."
What word would you use for "Michael, Margret, and Miranda are married. They are a _______." ?

Thank you
-Ayla

Answer
Ayla, it depends on the particular arrangement. If, for example, Michael was involved with both women, but the women were not involved intimately with each other, the common term for that would be a "V" relationship. If the women were also involved with each other as well as with Michael, we'd typically call that a "triad."
