Pond & Water Gardening - pond fish not feeding & staying at bottom

Expert: Eric Mathes - 5/7/2009

Question
My fish were feeding & very active until 4 days ago when  a heron visited & took some now they are hiding at the  bottom I have netted the pond is there anything I can do to liven them up i.e a tonic?& will they recover

Answer
Hey Maureen, I doubt it. They don't forget things like that. They will come to the top but they will be alot more cautious. Mine do the same thing. I have racoons. If I sit there and don't make any noise they will come to the top but if I try to walk around the pond, down to the bottom they go. Thanks Eric
