Question I have 2 Koi Fish and 4 Gold Fish. I do not know their gender and what type of koi fish/gold fish they are. How do I take care of them? (They are all recently bought and are about 3 months old)
Answer Hello Alice!
It is almost impossible tell the gender of Goldfish or Koi, especially with an untrained eye.
In the spring, when the females fill up with eggs they will be rounder in the middle while the males retain their torpedo like shape.
As far as taking care of them, its a bit of lengthy (although not all complicated). It is a matter of making sure the water is healthy and they have food and shelter.
We have a simple, and free, down-loadable ebook on our website that explains the detail in simple to follow steps. Just go to www.pondmarket.com and look for any of the ebook links.
