we caught several small fish in a pond at our apartment complex they are clear with a silvery type of marking around the head they have an upturned mouth i hve tried several other sites and nothing would like to know what they are so i dont kill em by feeding something they cant have got just generic pond food for them hope that is ok.

I can tell you what it is if you can provide a picture.  Also, what state you are in will help.  They can probably eat the generic pond food with no problem.

White Crappie
Spotted Sunfish
Killifish
