Question
helo lea
could you please tell me if there can be one fish in the pond that looks healthy but is a carrier of a disease
that kills the other fish in the pond
thankyou very much
from linda

Answer
I suppose it is possible but not likely. If the fish is a carrier for the most part it will show symtons first. I know where you are going. Take the suspect fish and keep it in a small aquarium and see if the rest survive. Look into salting the water. chck out some websites to salting ponds.I have never had this problem, so I would only be guessing.

Expertise

I can answer most question on water gardening and pond construction an maintenance. I have had water garden for ten years and have solved every problem that I encountered. I have been an expert on water gardening at Ask Me.Com since Dec. 28/2000. I enjoy answering questions regarding water gardens. I have helped people all over the world through answering e-mail questions. With the closing Ask Me.Com I would like the challenge on this website.

Experience

email clients on askme.com and friends and neighbors have taken my advice and gotten ideas from them. I started a pond with little or no knowledge and started asking at pond stores and was fortunate to find someone who was not only in the business but had several ponds of his own and could relate with first hand experience.
