Question Tim,
My 02 Bonneville has driver/passenger climate control. No matter if I adjust the driver or passenger temp control to either 60 degrees or 90 degrees, I get heat on the driver side, a/c on the passenger side. If I press the 'outside' air button, same thing. Is there a diagnostic set of steps to find out if it is a)stuck dampers, b)electronic controls bad, c) something else. I just got the pictures from Haynes to remove the console covers, but don't want to tear into it if I don't know what is bad. The dealer is quoting $900. thanks much...
Answer first thing would be to make sure all the actuators are responding correctly to the commands from the control head, might be difficult as they are inside the dash panel, and educated guess would be that the control head is bad. Any chance of getting a used known good part from a junkyard to test?
